​Who We Are

Offering area homeschoolers of Lynchburg City, Campbell, Amherst, Appomattox, and Bedford the experience of a high school prom! We believe that proms are a rite of passage and all students should have the opportunity to attend one.  Some rules and guidelines have changed. They are outlined below - please make sure you read carefully!

Prom Venue: Oakwood Country Club

                       Ticket Purchasing Rules:
             2023 POLICY FOR GUEST TICKETS: 

• All guest tickets must list an eligible homeschool student as the person a guest is attending with.  Guest tickets being purchased by anyone other than the person they are a guest must be verified and may be voided if the homeschool student listed does not accept that individual as their guest.
• Eligible homeschool students must be 15 years old on or before 04/22/2023 (the date of prom this year) and live in Lynchburg or the counties of Campbell, Amherst, Appomattox, and Bedford.  (Address on ID must match the address given when buying a ticket)
• The Prom Committee reserves the right to request proof of homeschooling status. 
• All guests must be 15 years old on or before 04/22/2023.  No guests over the age of 20.
  
• Please note that changes have been made to the dress code.. 
• Please note the time is 7:00-11:00 pm.
• All students must bring a PHOTO ID. Specifics are outlined below.
• Homeschool students must have an ID that contains ALL of this information: photo, address, & birth date.  Guests must have a photo and birth date on their IDs. If an ID is not provided at check in, there will be NO admittance.  No exceptions!

BE AWARE THAT IT WILL TAKE 2-3 WEEKS TO RECEIVE AN ID FROM ANY OF THESE RESOURCES.

Just to be clear:   Homeschool students must live in the areas outlined above, meet the age requirement, and bring a photo ID with address and birth date.  Guests do not need to live in the area, but do need to meet the age requirement and do need to bring a photo ID with birth date.  Guest tickets must be purchased by an eligible homeschool student or have an eligible homeschool students name listed on the ticket. No one needs to bring a paper ticket.  We will have a list of names at check in.
The reason for these changes is because the attendance has grown significantly, and we can only comfortably accommodate a certain number of people and want to make sure that the older high school students from our area are able to attend.

Time:  7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Who:

• Homeschooled students (15 years old by 04/22/2023) who live in Lynchburg or the counties of Campbell, Amherst, Appomattox, or Bedford . All homeschool students must provide a photo ID with address and birthday. 
• Guests of homeschooled students (must also be 15 years old by 04/22/2023 and not over the age of 20). Guests do not need to live in the area, but do need to also provide ID.  

Age: All attendees must be at least 15 years old by the date of prom (this usually coincides with a sophomore). The attendance has grown over the last few years, so the prom is now for the upper levels of high school students.

Dress Code:  This is a formal event, so dress appropriately (in formal wear). No shorts. Evening gowns/dresses, formal pants suit, suit and tie, or Tuxedo. Please follow the rules before showing up, or you may be asked to change and come back.

Ticket Price: $35.00 per person.  There are limited tickets this year (200), so don't wait to purchase! Tickets will be on sale from 2/15/2023-4/14/2023. No tickets will be sold after 4/14/2023.

​Price will include great music, hors d'oeuvres, souvenir, and unlimited digital photos of prom night! 

​*Please note that NO tickets will be sold after the deadline or at the door!  Ticket sales will end 8 days prior to the date of the prom. Please do not show up at the door without having bought a ticket online.   You do not need to bring a receipt since we'll have your name on a list at check-in. 
All students will also be required to show a photo ID at the door.  The address on the ID must match the address given when buying a ticket.
